The working principle of the engine crankcase leak testing machine is based on precise pressure and flow detection technology.
Firstly, at the beginning of the inspection, the leak testing machine is sealed and connected to the crankcase through a connecting pipeline, forming a closed inspection space. Subsequently, a certain pressure of gas, usually dry and clean compressed air, is filled into the enclosed space. This step ensures that the gas is evenly and stably filled throughout the entire crankcase.
After inflation is completed, enter the pressure holding stage. At this time, the high-precision pressure sensor of the leak testing machine monitors the pressure changes in the enclosed space in real time. If there are leakage points in the crankcase, gas will seep out from these tiny pores, causing a decrease in internal pressure. Within the set pressure holding time, the pressure sensor, with its extremely high sensitivity, accurately captures subtle fluctuations in pressure and converts them into electrical signals that are transmitted to the control system.



At the same time, some Dalian leak testing machines will also use flow detection as an auxiliary means. During the inflation or pressure holding process, if there is gas leakage, the flow sensor connected to the crankcase can detect the flow rate of the leaked gas. By analyzing traffic data, further determine the severity of the leak.
The control system integrates the feedback data from pressure sensors and flow sensors, and performs calculations based on preset algorithms. When the detected pressure drop or flow rate exceeds the pre-set qualified threshold, the leak testing machine determines that there is a leakage problem in the crankcase; On the contrary, if all data are stable within the normal range, it indicates that the crankcase sealing is good and has passed the test. The entire process is highly automated, precise, and efficient, providing a solid guarantee for the quality control of Dalian engine crankcases, ensuring that every engine can be put into use in a reliable state.
